Diana Johnstone's ultra-leftist books are pretty much ignored in the United States, except by white supremacist groups or fanatical Bernie supporters. She discredited herself already back in 2003 with her book Fools' Crusade: Yugoslavia, Nato, and Western Delusions in which she celebrated the ethnic cleansing policies of her hero Slobodan Milošević and denied that there was a massacre at Srebrenica. Since then she has distinguished herself with numerous anti-Semitic outbursts: blaming "the Jews" for the Charlie Hebdo attack in Paris and repeatedly equating Israel with ISIS. Johnstone, who lives in Paris, is a huge supporter of Marine LePen and has written approvingly of the murderous dictator Bashar Al-Assad. Today she is known chiefly for her pro-Putin articles that celebrate Russia's Anschluss of Crimea and welcoming a liberation of the Baltic States from the yoke of NATO and "American Imperialism".
Johnstone's latest book, Queen of Chaos: The Misadventures of Hillary Clinton, was pretty much ignored in the United States as yet another Stalinist hit piece, but the German version has sold surprisingly well - reaching the #3 spot on Amazon.de's bestseller list of books about the United States. This is due primarily to glowing reviews of the book by leftist Web sites such as Telepolis, Hintergrund, Ossietzky and NachDenkSeiten. NachDenkSeiten has called Johnstone's book "aboslute Pflichtlektüre" ( "an absolute must-read"), NachDenkSeiten editor and RTDeutsch-stringer Jens Berger has repeatedly promoted and endorsed the book. No doubt these sites are attracted to Johnstone because of her rabid anti-Americanism and anti-Semitism, as well as her reflexive admiration of brutal dictators.
I did find one accurate review of Johnstone's Clinton book: Michael Groth in Deutschlandradio Kultur:
Actually, the constant attacks on "Killary" by the German Left only underscores their support for the candidacy of Donald Trump. Why would leftists support the neo-fascist and racially divisive policies of Trump over Hillary Clinton, who has outlined detailed progressive programs for affordable healthcare and education? I think we all know the reason.
I know nothing about Diana Johnstones background but this video with General "John Allen at DNC 2016" proves, that she might be right:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gC_9lULJnCg
This video is only one indication that Killary depends strongly on the military-industrial complex today. Others are the campaign contributions for the DNC and their sources or her new friends, such as Robert Kagan. His wife Victoria Nuland is a persona non grata in Europe.
In such an environment we can expect that Killary will not stop her irresponsible Syria policy that she has started as Secretary of State. We owe her the refugee crisis. She has supported at first IS and later Al Nusra and other islamistic groups not to prevent an islamistic state but superfluously expel Assad.
She will accelerate this politics and we fear the worst for Europe. A nuclear winter is possible if so guys like this General Allen talk like they talk. The only thing missing in his speech is: "Wollt ihr den totalen Krieg?"

All this propaganda is remarkably ineffectual:

>His wife Victoria Nuland is a persona non grata...
...for European truthers.
FTFY
>A nuclear winter is possible...
Trump is the one considering the actual use of nuclear weapons, not Clinton.

Like Albrecht Müller, Roland Tichy, formerly a conservative journalist of reputation, has become a conspiratorialist.
It's no surprise that you can find a positive review of Johnstone's Clinton book on his website "Tichys Einblick":

Are these HIllary haters naive or evil? I can't decide. I have the same problem with the Bernie bots.

@Hattie, It's obscene that Assad has murdered over 300,000 of his own people and these leftists (and rightists) blame Hillary. But the hate has nothing to with Hillary per se. They will blame American for every woe in the in world no matter who wins the White House.
Stephan Bierling, a professor for international politics at the University of Regensburg once said: "There is a deep-rooted anti-Americanism in Germany that partially comes out of an inferiority complex. In a certain sense some Germans will never 'forgive' the Americans that they defeated the Nazis and brought about a stable world order because it reminds us that we couldn't get rid of the Nazis ourselves and were the main culprit for the division of Europe."

What for a crude logic. Completely nonsens.
C·A·P is a neocon propaganda tank, not a scientific institution. "Leadership Institute" I laugh me limp.

I'd really like to know why the German Left embraces Putin.
Is it his persecution of gays and lesbians? Is it the fact that he channeled $2 billion of stolen funds through an obscure cellist? Is the fact that he can murder his political opponents and investigative journalists and get away with it?
Or is it his precision bombing of hospitals in Aleppo?

I'd really like to know why the USA embraces Saudi-Arabia.
Is it the persecution of gays and lesbians in that country? Is it the fact they back Al Quaida, Al Nusra and other islamistic terror-groups in Syria and elsewhere? Is it the fact that they have committed horrible war crimes in Yemen. Is it the fact that he can murder their political opponents and investigative journalists and get away with it?
Or is it their precision bombing of hospitals in Afghanistan?

This will be the official policy of Killary in the future
http://www.spiegel.de/politik/ausland/syrien-barack-obamas-nachfolger-werden-entschiedener-intervenieren-a-1106945.html
The maintenance of a permanent conflict at the expense of Russia. The first goal is not to eliminate the ISIS. The ISIS is a welcomed instrument to hold the conflict frozen.
This politic is a pure war crime.
And the task of the European is to pay for refugees as a result of this criminal policy
Posted by: R. Wolfram | August 11, 2016 at 03:10 AM
Another interesting aspect is, that in Germany only the lower class should pay for the refugees:

High earners and billionaires on both sides of the Atlantic are not affected

"At the expense of Russia."
Russia chose to back the murderous regime of Assad and is paying the price.
The German left has excuses for every atrocity of Assad/Putin. What drives this innate affinity for dictatorship?

Hey Wolfram. Why not comment under your real name? Too much of a coward?
